The Ultimate, err, Anti-Burger King Endorsement?
Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. credits Burger King (of all eateries) with helping him kick his nasty addiction to drugs and alcohol.
In 2003, Downey was driving a car filled with "tons of f**king dope" on California's Pacific Coast Highway when he decided to stop at the fast food franchise for a meal.
"I have to thank Burger King. It was such a disgusting burger I ordered," he said. "I had that, and this big soda, and I thought something really bad was going to happen."
After that he, reportedly, proceeded to throw all of his "f**king dope" in the ocean, and vowed to clean up his act.
"He also hinted that a fateful moment in his latest movie, Iron Man, when his character Tony Stark requests a cheeseburger from Burger King after being released from his captors, is a reference to his own experiences."
Um are you sure that wasn't product placement?
And I'm happy for you buddy, but don't diss the Whopper.
