"Project Runway" is Moving
Project Runway, Bravo's biggest hit, is reportedly "catwalking" over to Lifetime in November 2008, i.e. next season.
And NBC Universal, the parent company of Bravo, isn't happy about it. It "filed a lawsuit to prevent The Weinstein Company, the firm that owns the show, from taking Project Runway to Lifetime."
For more details check out this Chicago Tribune story.
Update: According to the New York Post, Harvey Weinstein is moving Project Runway from Bravo to Lifetime because his company will now be making $1 million per episode rather than around $600,000 per episode.
Also, he did other shady shit while the show was still airing on Bravo. [Gawker]
Update: My bad. I said Project Runway is moving next season. I was wrong. It's moving to Lifetime after it airs next season on Bravo, i.e. the season after next. Apologies for the confusion.
