"Sex and the City" the Movie: An Opinion

Since I'm not going to see the Sex and the City movie until Friday, I asked my friend Morgan (who saw it yesterday) for her thoughts (I trust her opinion...even though she liked the Gilmore Girls :).

Like me, Morgan was a fan of the show when it aired on HBO.

Here's what she had to say: "OMFG!!! I loved it. It went along the lines of everything SATC is/was. I laughed. I cried. And I learned life lessons. I can't reveal anything because you're just going to have to see it. I did however not like the clothes. It was not the 6th character."

And there you have it. Short and vague. The way things should be.

And just because I like to have a little thing called balance (when the mood strikes me), Dodai at Jezebel hated it. Emily Nussbaum at New York Magazine probably liked it as much as humanly possible.

And now you don't know what to think. My work is done.

Rumer Willis Shows Off Her Beauty

Rumer Willis proved, on Tuesday, why People magazine named her one of the "100 Most Beautiful" in the world.

During an on-set break from filming her latest movie--Wild Cherry-- in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada, Willis, 19, slapped on a tube-top, suspenders and an attractive black knit cap. And sucked on a stogie. Sexy minx!



According to IMDb, Wild Cherry, which co-stars Rob Shneider, 44, Tia Carrere, 41, and Kristin Cavallari, 21, "is about a virginal high school senior who decides to get revenge on her jock boyfriend when she discovers he's only dating her in hopes that she'll end up in his teams' 'bang book.'"

Oooh. That sounds good.

This girl would totally be famous if her parents weren't Bruce Willis, 53, and Demi Moore, 45! Mos Def!

Megan Fox is Naked

Nearly naked, i.e. topless, pictures of Megan Fox, filming Jennifer's Body in Vancouver, have leaked on the Interweb.

The film's plot according to IMDd: "A newly possessed cheerleader turns into a killer who specializes in offing her male classmates. Can her best friend put an end to the horror?"

Oooh. I still don't know if she can.

Trailer for " The Sisterhood of the Taveling Pants 2"

So the trailer for The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 has been on YouTube since February. But I just saw it for the first time, so I figured you might not have seen it either.

I liked the first movie (don't hold it against me).

The sequel looks equally cute; and it's actually more interesting to me since I read America Ferrera, "Ugly Betty," didn't even want to be in the movie (damn contracts). Gossip Girl's Blake Lively has also gotten a lot more famous-er since Sisterhood 1.

All of that said, I hope Ferrera's reticence isn't an indication the film is going to suck.





According to IMDb the movie hits the big screen on August 8.

For You Fanatic "HSM" Fans, I Give You the Poster

I haven't seen either of the High School Musical movies, but I gather millions of people really like them. Morgan do you fall into this category? I think you might.

I was finally coming around to Ashley Tisdale, 22, about a month before she fixed her "deviated septum." She was freaking adorable before. So what if she was having trouble breathing. Sometimes if you want to look cute, you have to sacrifice a little. She's generic-looking now...as far as really pretty people go.

Her "He Said She Said" music video is what initially got my attention. It's super cute. Yeah I couldn't think of a clever introduction.

And I Thought Her Eyebrows in "Frida" Were Bad

Pictured: Salma Hayek sporting a beard for her role in Cirque du Freak, which is currently filming in New Orleans.

The IMDb plot outline: "A young boy named Darren Shan meets a mysterious man at a freak show who turns out to be a Vampire. After a series of events Darren must leave his normal life and go on the road with the Cirque Du Freak and become a Vampire."

Sounds like my kind of movie.

Also according to IMDb, Hayek is playing Madame Truska, a circus freak "who can grow a beard all the way down to her feet, then suck it up again through her face as if she has no facial hair at all."

Creepy.

Her Frida uni has nothing on that beard.

Romijn is Unhappy with New "Ugly Betty" Writers

Rebecca Romijn, who plays, hot tranny, Alexis Meade on Ugly Betty, may be leaving as a regular cast member because she is unhappy about what the new post-strike scribes have done to her character.

"They made a tremendous amount of changes, especially with the writing staff (during the writer's strike)," Romijn told Pop Wrap.

"And while I know I'll be coming back next season, with all the changes, I'm not sure they can take care of my character the way they have been. So I'll be leaving, back in a recurring capacity, but time for me to leave and find something else."

Noooo! I'd finally gotten used to her; and like her now. Stick it out Romijn!

New Fergie Leak From "Sex & the City" Soundtrack

Choatic05 over at my favorite LiveJournal blog says this leaked Fergie song, "Labels & Love," is from the Sex and the City soundtrack. It's catchy and it has the right vibe, i.e. it's talking about shopping and Manolos.

The SATC Director Michael Patrick King recently told Entertainment Weekly that Fergie recorded the movie's opening number. He said, “It’s an entirely new song with lyrics, but it has the Sex and the City theme as the DNA — on steroids.” See if you think his description holds up.


Jennifer Hudson, who will play Carrie Bradshaw's assistant in the film, will be featured on the soundtrack too. Her "ballad" is reportedly called "All Dressed Up In Love." It has no leaks that I know of...yet.

I'm kinda starting to get excited for this movie.

"Where the Wild Things Are" the Movie

Director Mike Jonze is adapting the classic children's book "Where the Wild Things Are" for a movie.

Super cool!

The film, which will feature the voices of Forest Whitaker, Lauren Ambrose, Catherine Keener and James Gandolfini, to name a few, isn't slated for release until October 2009.

And unfortunately, Jonze may be collaborating on the project, with the temper-tantrum throwing, arrogant rapper, known as Kanye West. Mind you, this is based on pure speculation.

Reportedly, the photo [seen above left] was taken during West's recent visit to Jim Henson's Creature Shop. Jenna Wortham over at the Underwire said she pulled the picture from West's blog. Note: I couldn't find it there.Whatever. The important thing is that "Where the Wild Things Are" is making its way to the big screen. And I think it's going to be in 3-D.

Hilary Duff Puts a Scorpion in her Pants

The bizarre video snippet below comes from the trailer for Hilary Duff and John Cusack's new movie War, Inc.

According to IMDB, "Brand Hauser (formally known as War Inc.) is set in the future, when the desert country of Turagistan is torn by a riot after a private corporation, owned by the former US president, has taken over the whole state. John Cusack plays the role of a hit man, who suppresses his emotions by gobbling down on hot sauce and is hired by the corporation's head to kill the CEO of their competitors. Everything changes when the ruthless killer finds himself head-over-heels in love with a sexy reporter."

I'm assuming that "sexy reporter" is Duff's character Yonica Babyyeah.

Whatever the case may be, in the video below, Duff holds up a scorpion, puts it down her pants and asks a Shimagh shrouded man to fetch it out; all while Cusack's character, Brand Hauser, watches in horrified fascination.

Weird stuff.
