Today Around the Blogosphere...

New Line Cinema and Lauryn Flynn, Burberry's director of celebrity services, are producing a romantic comedy inspired by hockey player-turned-Vogue gimmick "intern" Sean Avery. Yes rom-coms generally suck, but Avery seems borderline interesting. After all, Vogue and fashion-loving hockey jocks (?!) are an unlikely pair. I'm semi-curious how that will translate to film...although probably not enough to pay to see it.

And if the film doesn't star Avery, then surely Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson should be a candidate.

Avery, 28, served as a "guest editor" of MensVogue.com for a week in June.

Michelle Obama, 44, made fried shrimp with Paula Deen (!) for an episode of Deen's Food Network show--Paula's Party-- airing Sept. 20.

"I can tell she spends time in the kitchen – she was very relaxed when we cooked," Deen, 61, said of the culinary collab. "And that lady is a good eater."

People has a preview of the show here.
