You may remember Ed Koch, 83, as one of the non-models, on the episode of Sex and the City where Carrie Bradshaw eats it on the runway, in a pair of sparkly D & G panties. But at one time Koch actually used to be a Congressman and the mayor of New York City.
Well last night he accidentally set off his Life Alert pendant. (Cue the jokes about how he's fallen and can't get up.) So naturally, people assumed he died. [Daily Intel]
Just so we're clear, he's still alive.
And man it must suck to be old.

In the September issue of Glamour UK, Keira Knightley, 23, says she was drunk during her audition for Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady.
"I probably did slur my words," she says in the mag. "I told [producer Cameron Mackintosh] that would be the only way I could sing in front of everyone." [People]
Of course, she still got the part.
