I just read that a second nanny, accusing Rob Lowe, and his wife, of sexual harrasment, has come foward. This one, Laura Boyce, also happens to be Shanna Maokler's current nanny. (For all of you readers as privy as my BF, Moakler is a reality star and the ex-wife of Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker).She told People, "I've been friends with Laura for the past ten years – before she was my nanny. I completely stand by her."
"Boyce, 37, who worked for the Lowes for seven months in 2007, claims that Rob's wife Sheryl created an 'extremely sexually offensive and hostile work environment...behaving in a... perverted, disgusting and crude manner.'" [People]
I''m not going to speculate about the whole sexual harassment deal. It bores me. The thing that struck me about this story--hence the reason why I'm writing about it-- is how beat-looking Boyce is. Girlfriend looks as if she's tried her share of recreational drugs.
One good thing about her though, she must be a hard worker. It's common knowledge Moakler doesn't spend a lot of face time with her kids.

Update: I just watched a video of her. And now I feel even worse. That Gloria Allred knows what she's doing.

I can't figure what Allred was thinking. Drugs will be in this mess, we haven't heard from the chef.
Can the Lowes afford to do a deposition? The Hollywood take on this is a 180 from what I hear around Montecito.
Rob Lowe is a jerk but it's his wife that is known as the demon. Whatever Boyce's problems are, I think all involved have issues with addiction. The Lowe's can afford doctors and handlers that make them look good. I hope Boyce gets a break. There is nothing fair about a publicity machine where the Lowes are masters. Child Protection Services needs to be involved.

I don't know how informed I am. The Lowes are friends of Santa Barbara's worst nightmare, google "Citized McCaw". The story is longer than War and Peace. Rob is a minor player in McCaw's epic. He felt entitled to privacy and he went to McCaw who owned the paper in town. He didn't want his address in print regarding his building project. He'd previously charmed and annoyed the city standard-bearers. Old money has been here since the beginning, most of the new celebrity is respectful, not the Lowes. They were arrogant and felt entitled. After the meltdown at McCaw's paper the Lowes took on their neighbors in a petty ugly dispute. You can possibly find something in the Indy archives, www.independent.com. I don't recall the details.
His wife doesn't get much press. No one remembered or knew about his sex with the teen until McCaw and Dr. Laura tried to destroy a former employee that McCaw was suing. That's when Rob Lowe's past was first noticed. The Lowes and McCaw are scorched earth with employees.
The rumors about his wife was that she runs the image show, she could be pleasant or bossy, I'm being nice. The people who don't like her really HATE HER. She is the slut who slept with all of the brat pack, eyes on Emilio but snagged Rob when he needed cover. His critics aren't too nice about why he went for a beautician. No shortage on plastic surgery jokes. He's to be on hormones, steroids or some injections.
The Lowes are also suing their former chef Pete Clements. Clements had financial problems but I hear good things about him. The Lowes are suing him for using their bed and stealing their medication. They will destroy him if they can. I don't know why, except he supports the nannies. I don't know how large the estate staff is, Clements is one they couldn't persuade.
When I read the 'Hollywood' articles and comments on this, it is drastically different from the picture of the Lowes as they are perceived in Montecito area. Except for the very rich, like McCaw and employees that need to keep working. All of Santa Barbara is polite about these incidents, so there is little on this in print here. It's when someone messes with building codes and zoning that Santa Barbara gets riled. 'Hollywood' media is one big lying machine out to destroy who they don't like. Now I'm reading Shanna Moakler is being dissed for standing up for Boyce. They will destroy her if they can.

I can't verify that he uses hormones, Jen. It's hearsay. He always looks too flawless to be only airbrushed.
I live in a small town where his friend, Wendy McCaw, is the wicked witch. Google Santa Barbara News-Press Controversy and Rob Lowe, hedge, for background. It is not nanny gate, except McCaw and Lowes use the same $800 an hr lawyers and treat employees like scum. They use lawyers to intimidate and destroy people. Be careful. I've heard McCaw is trying to sue Sam Tyler and the "Citizen McCaw" documentary.
Lowe did make porn. He was a young Bob Crane. My memory is vague but I think in his Atlanta case he was caught with only two or three of his many videos. One was made in Europe and not a legal problem here. In Atlanta he got off because of lawyers and it was another time. Anyone else would be in a sex register. His father is a lawyer in the midwest. He said he met the 16 year old girl in a bar and he didn't ask her age. I'm not certain but it was him and another man having sex with her? His handlers have purged most information on this. Sheryl Berkoff was an old hand in the business. They may be in love but it's convience, you know? He did a 10 minute sex and alcohol treatment in 1989 and no relapse?
Whether it's McCaw, Dr. Laura or Lowes they are all suspect to be on something. They definently have mind disorders and treat others with inhumanity.
