Christian Bale Goes to Jail, Gets Out

Batman actor Christian Bale, 34, went to jail in London (by appointment) on Tuesday, following an altercation with his mother and sister on Sunday.

I'm not exactly sure what happened, as the details are sketchy, but Bale's mom Jenny and sister Sharon, are saying he lashed out at one (or both) of them at Park Lane’s Dorchester Hotel. Since the London premiere of the The Dark Night was on Monday, police waited to approach Bale--with the assault allegations-- until Tuesday. That's when he voluntarily went to a central London police station by appointment; and where he was held for more than four hours.

Now this is what particularly confuses me. A statement released by Bale's lawyer--on Tuesday-- reads he "left the station without any charge being made against him by the police." But The Sun is reporting he was released on bail, pending further inquiry.

I guess, we'll see. But dramz.
