Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii No More

If you think you have a fucked up name, tell it to 9-year-old Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii (who is actually from New Zealand). Yes that's her real name. But it won't be for much longer.

A New Zealand judge has made Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii a ward of the court so she can have her name changed, according to CNN.

The ruling was made public Thursday; and listed a slew of other strange monikers NZ parents had given to their children. Some of which include Benson and Hedges, Violence and Number 16 Bus Shelter (which might actually be worse than TDHHFH).

But in Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii's case, she had a hard time accepting it. She was, reportedly, so embarrassed, she refused to tell her friends her real name. Instead she told them to call her K.

Thanks Ming!

Update: AP is reporting that her name has already been changed. It will not be publicly revealed to protect the girl's privacy.

I liked how her friends just refered to her as "K"

Yeah. I wonder how she decided on that initial. There's no "K" in Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii.
